Periods of pre-selection, lottery and allocation of tickets

During the season, we open various booking periods during which the cultural promoters present their cultural offer and the social centres apply for tickets. Here is a step-by-step guide.

Apropa Cultura uses a system of ticket allocation which is fair and transparent. All the social centres have the same opportunities.

Every step of the process has specific dates, which you can consult in each section of the procedure.

Check the calendar for the booking periods.

1. Presentation of cultural proposals

The theatres, concert halls, museums and festivals publish their cultural proposals in the web.

The social centres can begin to consult the cultural proposals that will be available during the booking period.

Check the dates of the current booking period.

2. Pre-selection of activities

Once the booking period is open, social centres can make a pre-selection of the shows they’d like to attend, and apply for tickets for groups of at least 5 people.

You can select as many proposals as you like, but always in order of preference.

It is easy to know if a booking period is open by looking on the homepage, just below the search engine, where a turquoise strip indicates that the booking period is now open.

3. Ticket allocation

Our computer system allocates tickets to each centre following criteria of equality and fairness.

The social centres will receive the results and if you have been allocated tickets you can:

A. Confirm your booking

B. Renounce the tickets

Warning: If you have not been lucky and have not been allocated tickets, you can participate in the second allocation round. You need to indicate this in the ‘unsuccessful applications’ section.

4. Second allocation round

The computer system makes a new allocation with the tickets that have been made available and the social centres receive the results.

Again, the centres with allocated tickets have two options:

A. Confirm your booking

B. Renounce the tickets

After the second round, some cultural promoters might increase the number of places. All those centres that have not achieved tickets until now can join the waiting list again and opt for these tickets.

Please keep in mind that Direct Booking is available throughout the year.

5. Payment

Within a maximum of 10 days after the centre has accepted the booking, you must generate the invoice so that you can make the payment and upload the receipt to your personal panel.

6. Booking confirmation

Once the cultural promoter has checked your payment, the booking will finally be confirmed.

You can view your confirmed bookings in the ‘my tickets’ section of your personal panel.

Now all you need to do is enjoy the outing!
